Environment & Art

The Environment and Arts Committee

We believe being a member of the Environment and Arts Committee (E&A) is a particular form of prayer.  We try to use our creative abilities to give glory to God.  We do this by attempting to create an atmosphere within the Church which is conducive to prayer and an environment which reflects the beauty of nature and glorifies the Lord.

A successful committee requires members who have creative vision, varied artistic skills and experience.  Study, organization and planning also play an important part.  There are many details involved and every detail is important.  We strive to maintain an attitude of appreciation for one another's gifts.  The goal is our best work for the occasion and that takes all of us.

We believe it is essential to be open to new ideas and creative input.  We are not always sure what form those ideas will take or where they will come from. ...but they do come!  While it is not possible to please everyone's style and preference, we believe if we remain open and listening, the Lord will speak through the work of our hands.  It is time-consuming work but we are guided by study and a well thought out plan.  With the assistance of cooperative helping hands and the right attitude, the work is a joy. ...joy is a wonderful reflection of the presence of God.  That reflection enables everyone to pray better, love  better and glorify the Lord with gladness.

If you have any questions regarding the E&A Committee or would like to join us, please leave your name and phone number with the Parish Office, and we will be happy to return your call.  Thanks!
