Music Ministry

Resources for
Music Ministers

The Music Ministry enhances the assembly's full and active participation at parish liturgical celebrations. Attendance at rehearsals, as well as weekend and Holy Day liturgies, is required.
Musical skills are helpful for choir member and cantor and required for instrumentalists.

Cantor/
Choir Member/
Children's Choir

The Cantor leads the music at liturgical celebrations.

Choir Members support the Cantor in music.

The Children's Choir is comprised of grades 2 to 8. The children meet weekly to prepare for bi-monthly 11am masses.

Cantors are chosen, by the Children's Choir Director from the “most experienced” choir members, as opposed to the oldest and by the amount of time a student has been in choir as opposed to age.

Instrumentalist The instrumentalists meet weekly to prepare for the weekly and Holy Day liturgy. Musical skill and training are required to participate.

Every mass group has their own schedule.

•The 9 am Sunday group meets at 8:15 AM before Mass.
•The 11am cantor meets at 10:30 before Mass.
