Geri Kramer
Director of
Parish Social Outreach

The Parish Social Outreach Ministry is the empowerment of the parish as the people of God to fulfill the Church's mission of love, justice, freedom and peace. It accomplishes this by communally responding in an organized way to individual and societal human needs. It assists parishioners to understand and act on Catholic Social Teaching. Our Parish Social Outreach Ministry responds to human needs, whatever they may be, whether hunger, housing, illness, loneliness or employment. These needs may affect only one person or one family or they may arise from social policy that affects many.

This committee assists families, seniors and others in our community who are in need. Members share two to three hours per week to organize food, stock shelves and distribute supplies. Those involved in this ministry sort and/or distribute clothing at selected times of the year. This committee meets in October to plan for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. They separate and pack food and gifts for the needy families and assist in carrying bags to their vehicles.
